Kayastha Parivar Magazine The foremost monthly magazine of
the Kayasthas worldwide.
Kayastha Parivar has created a solid base of patrons and
subscribers over the years and their unflinching loyalty
has been a source of sustenance through shadows and
sunshine of life. With its main motto of inculcating a
sense of brotherhood, the editorial content of the
magazine which is published both in English and Hindi is
community-driven, giving the readers news and information
that impacts their lives.
Kayasthas by nature
are a service oriented people and they leave their home
and hearth in search of lucrative jobs in far-off places.
They encounter a real problem when their children grow
young because with little acquaintance in the immediate
area of their work, they are not able to find suitable
match for their children.
Being a niche
publication and because of its wide circulation within the
community across the country and abroad, Kayastha Parivar
has been instrumental in the settlement of marriage of
thousands of boys & girls.
Kayastha Parivar has
been providing this service to the Parivar members for the
last three generation.
Kayastha Parivar has
a time-honoured tradition of publishing Special
Matrimonial number of the magazine annually ahead of the
marriage season besides carrying such advertisements in
all its issues on a regular basis.
Those who go in for
insertion of ads are literally inundated with response
from suitable families and marriages are soon settled and
solemnsed. We have lost count of people who write to us
expressing their gratitude for this particu lar service to
the community.
Finding match through
Kayastha Parivar is like finding match among its own large
family rather finding match through newspapers. Since its
membership is spread all over India and abroad connected
to families evoke better response than any other journal.
Today local Sabhas are being enc;ouraged by its members to
publish lists of marriageable boys and girls which can
serve the limited purpose because of limited circulations
of the Sabhas.
Kayasthas are a
highly literate community and there is a long tradition of
writers of sterling merit among them who have enriched
literature through their writings.
Kayastha Parivar has
brought out thematic issues in the past devoted to the
contribution of a whole array of writers. We are proud to
have come out with specific issues on writers like Munshi
Premchand, Mahadevi Verma, Dr. Ram Kumar Verma, Dr.
Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Raghupati Sahay 'Firaq Gorakhpuri',
Dr.
Dharmavir Bharati,
Kamleshwar and many others. At the other end of spectrum,
we have published special issues on luminaries such as
GaneshShankar Vidyarthi, Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Lal
Bahadur Shastri'.
Besides carrying a
number of articles on their contribution, these issues
have also carried a liberal sprinkling of their celebrated
stories, plays and poetry which has by now acquired
classic stature. Thus we have published Premchand's
Eidgaah, Dr. Ram Kumar Verma's Kesar Ka Saurabh, Mahadevi
Verma's pen portrait of Nirala, Dr. Dharmavir Bharati's
Gul Ki Banno and Kamleshwar's Raja Nirbansia. We are also
seriaising Firaq Gorakhpuri's Hindi translation of that
classic Urdu Novel, Mirza Hadi Ruswa's UmraoJaan.
Kayasthas have also
made their mark in the field of visual and performing arts
and many other areas of human endeavour. We have given
profiles of such persons as a testament of our faith in
the contribution of members ofthe Kayastha Community. Even
though slim in size, the magazine has always been
inputdownable and lots of families like to preserve all
its issues. We have given articles on festivals and
exclusive material on Bhagwan Chitragupta, the presiding
deity of the Kayasthas.
